What to expect? Upon a meeting we will take our electric scooters and head to the Ban Jelačić Square - the main public square in the city. Stop by the colorful Zagreb Cathedral, or as it’s officially called, the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. A short stroll across the lively open market Dolac and then we continue towards the park Zrinjevac. Zagreb’s main train station and the elegant Hotel Esplanade built to accept the passangers of Orient Express is next stop at our way to Croatian National Theatre building. After that we will head to Upper town and enjoy the charm and harmony of the Strossmayer promenade, one of the best spots for panoramic views of Zagreb rooftops and landscape. All along the way you will hear stories about our capital’s rich history which dates back to medieval times. We shall see Lotrščak tower that houses the Grič cannon which goes off every day to mark the noon and Saint Mark’s Church famous for its picturesque roof with coats of arms representing the Three Kingdoms of Croatia. On our way back we will pass the famous Bloody bridge and Stone gate - part of Zagreb’s fortification system - and its charming chapel. At the end of this tour, we will lead you through Tkalčićeva and Radićeva streets where you will be introduced to the origin of the necktie, Croatian gift to the world of fashion.

Tour the old in a new way. Learn about history in a modern way. The tour of the Upper town on electric scooter will lead you into medieval urban complex of churches, palaces, museums, galleries and government buildings. In this 1 hour tour we will go through old upper town alleys and monuments. You will learn about the city vibe and the rich history of the capital of Croatia.
What to expect? We begin our tour on the main square named after Croatia’s 19th century viceroy and national hero, Josip Jelačić Bužimski. The square has been city’s commercial centre for centuries and today it’s considered to be the most important meeting point for people of Zagreb. We continue to Kaptol and Gradec, two medieval settlements that have been rivals for centuries and that have united in the city of Zagreb in 1850. On Kaptol you will learn more about Croatia’s largest Cathedral, its history and recent renovation and then continue to our open farmer’s market Dolac, popularly called “the belly of Zagreb.” As we make our way to the Upper Town, known as Gradec, you will pass through the beautifully preserved Stone Gate. The gate was a part of defense system of Gradec and it is the only city gate that survived until present day. We will soon find ourselves in the centre of Croatian politics, the main square of the Upper town, Saint Mark’s Square, dominated by Saint Mark’s Church and its picturesque roof which appears at almost every postcard sent from Zagreb. After discovering exciting Zagreb, we will head back to where it all began to conclude this entertaining and educational tour of the Croatian capital. The final point of the tour is in fact the starting point - Ban Jelačić Square.
